The following are basic, minimal technical needs. Return signed technical rider with the contract, with notes explaining what the PRESENTER can and cannot accommodate.
FLOOR REQUIREMENTS • Sprung wood floor, free of splinters, swept and mopped prior to arrival • Black or gray Marley flooring • No carpet or concrete
STAGE REQUIREMENTS • 38 width x 36 depth x 22 height • Scrim and/or cyclorama • Ample wing space with crossover behind scrim or cyclorama • Minimum stage temperature of 70 degrees
LIGHTING • Sufficient instruments to give a minimum warm and cool front wash and back light • Minimum of three side light positions with three instruments per tree/per side • Sufficient lighting to vary washes for each piece (4-6)
SOUND • CD or mini disk player • Monitors on stage • Sufficient amplification for full coverage of house
STAGE PERSONNEL • One sound technician • 1-2 lighting technicians for load-in and rehearsal
DRESSING ROOMS • One male and one female dressing room to accommodate 4-6 people each • Minimum dressing room temperature of 70 degrees
HOSPITALITY • Ample bottles water, juice, sodas (include diet drinks) during rehearsals and performance • Fruit, cheese, crackers, cold cuts and condiments to make sandwiches
REHEARSAL • Access to the stage for load-in and rehearsal at least 6-8 hours prior to performance (preferably the day before the performance)
SCHOOL PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS • Area dimensions: Allow a space with a minimum of 38 feet (W) x 36 feet (D). Floor surface should be wood or linoleum (no carpet). Floor surface should be swept and mopped prior to the performance. • Adequate general lighting for the performance area • One microphone on a stand for the narrator • CD player or mini-disc player |
